A gift bag is bought for the moment somebody walks into a room and finds something with their name on it. That is the whole job, and it explains why the size question here is the reverse of the tote page: a gift bag has to be big enough for what is going in it and small enough to sit on a pillow without falling over. Read the dimensions against the favours you have already bought rather than the other way round.

Paper and organza behave differently and suit different weekends. A printed paper bag with a rope handle photographs sharply, stands up on a bed and does not survive rain between a car and a front door. Organza is soft, packs completely flat in a suitcase, and is the one to buy if the bags are being filled at the destination rather than at home. Where a pack here prints a count, ten to a pack is the common size, so a group of eight is usually buying one pack and not two.
